Ta'Nika Gibson's Resume:

Most people who know Ta’Nika Gibson personally would describe her as a country loving, elegant hippie, who prefers trails in the forest to subways and the fast-life. She is someone whose passion in life is to make a positive difference in other people’s lives, whether it’s through teaching music to impoverished children around the world with “Broadway’s Babies” or just the simple kindness of sharing love with hugs to everyone she meets. Professionally, on the other hand, Ta’Nika’s passion for performing has taken her on subways, airplanes, cruiseships, and all of the above. Although she sneaks away to the country when she can, she’s living the fast-life indeed!

Hailed by the Boston Globe for “her clear and ringing voice,” Ta’Nika Gibson is a gifted actor, singer, and voiceover artist in NYC. A graduate of New York University, she was recently seen playing the title role of “Laurey Williams” in the historical all African-American production of Oklahoma! at Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Ta’Nika was excited to make her Broadway debut this year, performing alongside Christian Borle and Laura Michelle Kelly in “Me and My Girl” at NYC Center: Encores! She was also extremely excited to make her film debut in the Feature Film “The Goldfinch” starring Nicole Kidman and Ansel Elgort (in theaters nationwide Oct. 2019), and her television debut in season 2 of Marvel’s “Iron Fist” on Netflix. Ta'Nika was honored to be a featured soloist at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall this season. She has portrayed such roles as “Lorrell Robinson” in the hit production of Dreamgirls at Theatre Under The Stars, in Houston TX; Lady Thiang in The King and I at The Weathervane Theatre, which earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the New Hampshire Theatre Awards. That same year, Ta’Nika premiered as a guest artist representing the United States of America at the Beijing International Film Festival/Tiantan Movie Awards in Beijing, China. In 2014, she received rave reviews for her portrayal of the title role of Aida in the musical Aida by Elton John and Tim Rice at The Strand Theater in Boston, MA.

Ta’Nika is excited to see what amazing opportunities God has in store for her!
